Learn To Skate With Us!
Learn to Skate – this is where it all begins!
Chatham Ringette has developed a community program that serves any child who wants to Learn to Skate.
Chatham Ringette has a very successful Learn to Skate (LTS) program for over twenty years designed for young skaters! There is a lot more going on inside the rink – friendships are also being made.
This success is because the focus is solely on skating from the start, there are no organized games; they skate first.
Later into the season, the boys and girls will graduate to use sticks and carry the rings around a bit, to further develop their skating skills while trying to focus on another task.
Our program consists of mostly 4 and 5 year olds and some older children if they are new skaters. Chatham’s Learn to Skate program allows the kids a couple hours of ice/week and each practice is 50 minutes in length.
The success of Chatham’s older U8/U10 teams is that we have fast skaters; and it all starts in the Learn to Skate program.
For information, dates, times and scheduling of on-ice and off-ice events, please refer to the ice schedule. The schedule will be updated often, so check back regularly.
Available on-line for members as well as family and friends
You can even integrate the Chatham Ringette Calendar with your own or even synchronize with your mobile device.
Registration for the 2017-2018 season is NOW OPEN!
The season runs September to April.
Games are typically once per week dependent on home and away teams ice schedules.
Travel games occur on weekends, but our house league games are mid week.
