A
message from Stephen Wetmore, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bell
Aliant
The
envelope please…
I am
pleased to share the winners of the 2007 Bell Aliant Achievement and Community
Spirit Awards. Winners will be officially recognized at our Awards Gala in
Halifax on February 29, 2008.
We received 1156 nominations this year,
which is a record response to the program. Selecting award recipients from among
those employees nominated was a very challenging task. Recipients were chosen
after serious deliberation by the Selection Council, composed of 16 Bell Aliant
Senior Leaders, representing each of our business units.
These
recipients were selected for their outstanding contribution to the organization
as an individual or a team member. There were 58 individual award winners,
and 14 teams representing 83 employees, from across our six provinces, which
clearly demonstrates our organization’s commitment to collaborating for
results.
In addition to our Achievement Award recipients, we are pleased
to recognize our community role models. Congratulations to our Community Spirit
Award winners: Yvon Bergeron, QC; Jonathon Lang, ON; Patricia
Zimmer, ON; Rick Oliver, NL; Derek Linders, NS; Tara Davison,
PE; Joanne Stewart, NB; Barry Carr, NB; Katina Legacy, NB and the
entire Bell Aliant Project Management Office (PMO) Volunteer Team including
Carlos
Barbosa, Mike Bell, Stephane Bolduc,Jeff Bujold, Kevin Byrne, Shane Chapman,

Brenda Doucet, Jeannine D'Entremont, Kirk D'Eon, Kenny Edison, Lynn Fleming,

The
Community Spirit Award winners’ volunteerism and positive community activism
make a powerful difference in the communities where we live and work. While we
selected nine individual winners and one team for this award, all of the
nominees are ambassadors for Bell Aliant and deserve our recognition and
